This book provides an objective overview of air pollution biology. The authors review the major research that led to the current state of knowledge of this science. The interactions of many climatic, soil and other potential abiotic and biotic stress factors are discussed. Interactions among pollutants, ranging from synergism to mitigation are also presented. In addition, the book discusses the economic aspects of air pollution on plants and is intended to provide guidance to decision makers in the many regulating and research agencies, and others who share a concern for the quality of the air environment and the responses of plants to it. Individual chapters are processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
