Essential Oil Composition of<i>Callistemon citrinus</i>Leaves from the Lower Region of Himalayas

Abstract

Abstract The oil composition of Callistemon citrinus leaves from the lower region of Himalayas was examined by GC and GC/MS. Thirty two compounds, representing 98.1% of the oil, were characterized with 1,8-cineole (66.3 %) and α-pinene (18.7%) as major constituents.
