Abstract

The great strength and unique feature of this volume is the excellence of the illustrations, which cover a wide range of operative techniques. This comment is not meant to disparage the text, which is generally clear, concise, and to the point. The editors point out that the level of sophistication in pediatric urology is increasing rapidly, as is the complexity of some surgical procedures. Yet in many instances patient management must be carried out by a general urologist, surgeon, or pediatric surgeon without special training in pediatric urology.
