A general procedure for calculating the boundary layer simuifaneousry with the outer, inviscid flow is described. Integra! equations for ihe boundary layer and finite-difference equations for the inviscid flow at a given longitudinal position form a linear set with a tridiagonai coefficient matrix. The set is solved simultaneously ai each position, beginning at the upstream boundary and iterating over Ihe flowfield (successive line relaxation). Convergence of ihe procedure with separated flow is demonstrated by a numerical example.
