Serendipitous Formation of a Dinuclear Vanadium(III) Amide Complex Containing a Vanadaazacyclobutane Ring. Potassium−Hydrogen Agostic Interactions Holding Together a V₂K₂Tetrametallic Framework

Abstract

Reaction of [(Me 3 Si) 2 N] 2 V(THF)Cl with KH led to the formation of the dinuclear {[(Me 3 Si) 2 N] 2 V[N(SiMe 3 )SiMe 2 CH 2 ]}{K(THF) 2 } 2 ( 1 ), whose structure was determined by X-ray analysis. The dinuclear framework is held together via K−H agostic interactions.
