This paper presents a simple model to calculate concrete properties for reinforced concrete members that are confined by carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) sheets. The model simplifies and incorporates formulas from some of the existing models. Results are examined for typical circular and square columns with a range of cross-section dimensions and axial loads. Results demonstrate that the proposed simple model is quite sufficient in calculating moment-curvature relationships of CFRP-confined members.
