This paper is based on the techno-economic analysis of a several hybrid energy system models for optimization. The analysis of the hybrid systems are based on the logistic type numerical models implemented in the HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables) software package developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Colorado, USA. This software package is used to analyze the Wind and solar data of a tourist spot in Bandarban, Bangladesh. Analysis of only renewable based hybrid systems have been done as well as grid connected systems. A comparison is shown based on per unit cost of electricity production, operating cost found by simulation results and traditional fossil fuel based energy sources.
