Chorea is a rare manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus. Treatment with haloperidol of such a condition in an 18-year-old woman resulted in a prompt and complete subsidence of symptoms in contrast to previous episodes without haloperidol lasting as long as three months. Recurrent choreiform movements nine months later responded similarly.
