Abstract

Abstract Continuing our previous investigations on quantitative uniform boundedness and condensation principles, this note is concerned with the sharpness of error bounds in those cases where, for a given process, the bounds are given in terms of averages (integral means) of a second process. A typical example is supplied by the familiar Marchaud inequality for moduli of continuity of different orders.
