AbstractAbstractThe Tecnored emergent iron reduction technology has the potential to provide significant operating cost to hot metal advantages over traditional blast furnace and DRI/HBI technologies. Capital cost and scale efficiency are also projected to be lower. A technical and economic overview of the Tecnored process is given, together with final results from pilot plant trials.
