The Morphology of Asymmetric Separation MembranesThis communication extends the micellar monolayer concept of reverse osmosis membrane surface layer morphology to a class of polyimide membranes.A dry, nongel polyimide membrane prepared by a method different from that used for previously discussed membranes has the same micellar structure and has permeation properties consistent with the proposed morphology.
