Given a continuous, linear, feedback control system, the impulse response of the unknown plant is identified from the known measurement function in the feedback path and the given input and output records. The problem is approached via block-pulse approximation of the continuous-time functions and the algorithm-typo solution for integral equations. The method is easily adapted to digital computations.
