Abstract

Solution‐Focused Brief Therapy appears to be increasing in popularity within psychological services across Scotland and beyond. This paper looks at the application of solution‐focused approaches to casework and how this can be further developed across the range of educational psychologists’ (EPs') work practices, such as in‐service training, groupwork, teacher consultation and interagency meetings. The benefits of using such approaches are discussed in relation to the effects on the EP and the client.
