SUMMARY Ectopic ureterocele is a common condition in pædiatrics, which can, in general, be recognised from a standard intravenous urographic series. The full potential of radiological diagnosis is seldom exploited, however, and this paper gives examples of ways in which careful studies of micturating cystograms can give precise information about the nature and complications of the ureterocele, which are essential for rational planning of surgical treatment.
