Computation of Navier-Stokes solutions exhibiting asymmetric vortices

Abstract

An efficient Navier-Stokes solver is used to demonstrate the existence of asymmetric vortex flows on slender cones flying at supersonic speeds and at very high angles of attack. The iteration scheme is continued until the residual or error is reduced to machine zero.
