Extracapsular lymph node spread in recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Abstract

With combined surgery and brachytherapy, satisfactory results can be achieved in patients with ECS in recurrent NPC. Reconstruction with regional flaps is mandatory to prevent serious complications like wound necrosis and carotid artery blowout.
