Current Generation by Unidirectional Lower Hybrid Waves in the ACT-1 Toroidal Device

Abstract

An unambiguous experimental observation of current generation by unidirectional lower hybrid waves in a toroidal plasma is reported. Up to 10 A of current was driven by 500 W of rf power at 160 MHz.Received 28 April 1980DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.45.117©1980 American Physical Society
