Use-Dependent Up- and Down-Regulation of Sensorimotor Brain Circuits in Stroke Patients

Abstract

Our findings suggest that a down-regulation of sensorimotor activity occurs progressively over time as a result of inactivity and that training may reverse the reduced brain activity.
