Abstract

The simultaneous presence of multiple types of inflammatory cells, adhesion, and co-stimulatory molecules in Mooren ulcer conjunctiva suggests that their interaction may contribute to a sustained immune activation as at least part of the pathogenic mechanism of this disorder.
