Abstract

We observed significantly higher health care costs among complicated-IMD cases, compared with uncomplicated cases. The substantially higher costs observed among patients with IMD-related sequelae warrant inclusion of these costs in studies conducting economic evaluations of meningococcal vaccination programs.
