Abstract

Change of electric resistance of single crystal of iron rod induced by magnetization was measured by usual potentiometer and galvanometer deflection method at high temperature up to the Curie point. From these results ( Δ R / R ) 111 and ( Δ R / R ) 100 at several temperatures are calculated, ( Δ R / R ) 100 remains constant from room temperature up to near 300°C and then decreases gradually to zero at the Curie point with increasing temperature ( Δ R / R ) 111 tends very smoothly to zero at the Curie point with increasing temperature. The large decrease of resistance near the, Curie point is not anisotropic.
