17.2: White OLED Structures using Molecularly Doped Charge Transport Layers

Abstract

Abstract White emitter systems are studied in OLED using doped charge transport layers. Mature fluorescent white diodes combining high efficiency with lifetimes exceeding 10,000h at a brightness of 1000 cd/m 2 are reported. Stacked devices for applications requiring a high color rendering index perform at a current efficiency of 80 cd/A and power efficiency of 23 lm/W at 1000 cd/m 2 with the lifetime exceeding 10,000h at 1000 cd/m 2 . Efforts towards top‐emission white OLED and white OLED for passive matrix applications yield promising results.
