Abstract

The anionic complexes [olenFe(CO) 2 CN] - (olen = butadiene, 1,3-cyclohexadiene, cyclooctatetraene), formed by the reaction of olenFe(CO) 3 with NaN[Si(CH 3 ) 3 ] 2 , have been protonated to the isocyanic acid derivates olenFe(CO) 2 CNH, and alkylated with [Et 3 O]BF 4 to give the isonitrile complexes olenFe(CO) 2 CNEt.
