Abstract

Summary A typical pattern of lesions resulting from poisoning by Swainsona galegifolia in the guinea‐pig is described. This appears to be almost identical to that seen in sheep afflicted with this disease. The possibility that the vacuolar lesions seen may be related to an expression of lysosomal function or to disturbance of cellular water and ion transport mechanisms is discussed.
