Summary The radiological appearances of bronchopleural fistula are poorly recorded in the anaesthetic literature. Anaesthetists carry increasing responsibility for postoperative respiratory management. We have, therefore, reviewed the X‐rays of five cases of proven bronchopleural fistula following pneumonectomy and summarised the findings.
