Abstract

Abstract Re 2 O 7 reacts with (Me 3 SiN = PPh 2 ) 2 CH 2 , (Me 3 SiN = PPh 2 ) 2 C 2 H 4 and Me 3 SiN = PPh 3 to give (O 3 ReN = PPh 2 ) 2 CH 2 (3), (O 3 ReN = PPh 2 ) 2 C 2 H 4 (6) and Ph 3 P= NReO 3 (7). 6 has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. The complex crystallizes in the space group P 1̄ with unit cell dimensions a = 837.4(4), b = 873.0(5), c = 1102.5(6) pm, ɑ = 112.53(4), β = 98.54(4), γ = 100.59(4)°, and Z = 1. The structure demonstrates that the bis(diphenylphosphinimino)-ethane group is bridging two ReO 3 units.
