Angular Distributions of Elastic Scattering of 5-Mev Neutrons

Abstract

The differential cross sections for elastic scattering of 5-Mev neutrons from C, O, Al, Fe, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ba, W, and Pb were measured over an angular range between 30\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} and 150\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. The experimental values are compared with the predictions of a diffuse-surface optical model.
