In an unusual case of disseminated herpesvirus hominis type 2 infection after renal transplantation, survival of the patient and maintenance of graft function were accomplished while immunosuppressive therapy was reduced to allow healing of the cutaneous lesions. (<i>JAMA</i>230:1174-1175, 1974)
