X-rays in the energy range 0.6-1.6 keV have been detected from the Lupus Loop and possibly from the remnant of the supernova of 1006 A.D. At lower energies, 0.2-0.6 keY, the sources are not evident, but spatial variations in the diffuse background are such that the flux varies by a factor of 2 within 8 on the sky.
