Abstract

The size distribution of latex aggregates undergoing Brownian motion is measured in situ, using automatic particle counting. The data are analysed from the point of view of dynamic scaling. At large time, an asymptotic distribution in terms of reduced variables is well observed. In that regime, the number of clusters is found to vary as the inverse of the time which on the bases of the theory means that the hydrodynamic radius is proportional to their radius of gyration.
