Abstract The zwitterionic piperazine‐derived dithiocarbamate complex [(dppm) 2 Ru(S 2 CNC 4 H 8 NCS 2 )] has been prepared and utilised in the synthesis of multimetallic arrays incorporating a wide range of transition metal centres.
