Symmetries are shown to exist in a Mie theory formulation of interferometric visibility which may be exploited to achieve significant reductions in computer time. Some limits to visibility calculation by refraction theory are noted, and a correlation of symmetry results with Mie and refraction theory agreement is shown to exist.
