Multivariable systems reduction via Cauer forms

Abstract

A detailed analysis and comparison of the three Cauer forms for the reduction of multivariable control systems is presented. The mathematical basis on which these techniques work is elucidated, and the superiority of the mixed form over the first and second Cauer forms is established.
