Abstract

ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY has yielded considerable knowledge concerning the electric phenomena associated with activity of the heart. This method of examination has been thoroughly explored, and it is unlikely that its usefulness will be extended to any important degree. The investigation of other methods of studying the cardiac potential differences, therefore, has been welcomed by those interested in increasing knowledge in this field. The most fruitful of these methods is that which has come to be known as spatial vectorcardiography.A force having magnitude, direction and sense can be represented as a vector.
