A 2-MICRON Map of the Ophiuchus Dark-Cloud Region

Abstract

A 2-micron map of the Ophiuchus dark-cloud region has resulted in the discovery of a large number of infrared sources. These sources are interpreted as the brightest members of a cluster embedded within the dark-cloud region. The consequences of this conclusion are discussed briefly.
