Osthole induces G2/M cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells

Abstract

Osthole had significant growth inhibitory activity and the pro-apoptotic effect of osthole is mediated through the activation of caspases and mitochondria in HepG2 cells. Results suggest that osthole has promising therapeutic potential against hepatocellular carcinoma.
