Abstract

Close to converged energies and expectation values for PsH are computed using a ground state wave function consisting of 1800 explicitly correlated gaussians. The best estimate of the ${\mathrm{Ps}}^{\ensuremath{\infty}}\mathrm{H}$ energy was $\ensuremath{-}0.789\phantom{\rule{0.2em}{0ex}}196\phantom{\rule{0.2em}{0ex}}740\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\text{hartree}$ which is the lowest variational energy to date. The $2\ensuremath{\gamma}$ annihilation rate for ${\mathrm{Ps}}^{\ensuremath{\infty}}\mathrm{H}$ was $2.471\phantom{\rule{0.2em}{0ex}}78\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{9}\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}{\mathrm{s}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$.
