Results with resonance: Glycobiology would benefit from the development of simple methods for on-resin validation of solid-phase oligosaccharide synthesis. Gel-phase 19F NMR spectroscopy, together with saccharide building blocks that have fluorinated protective groups, was most useful in the synthesis of the α-Gal epitope 1.
