Compact fiber source of the pulses with an output power upto 0.17 mJ

Abstract

We have made a compact fiber pulsed source based on a self Q-switched Yb-doped fiber laser with an additional amplification. The output pulse energy of 0.17 mJ has been achieved with a pulse duration of several tens nanoseconds. The repetition frequency of 20 kHz and the maximum average output power of 3 W were observed.
