Volunteer Peer Counselors Increase Breastfeeding Duration Among Rural Low‐Income Women

Abstract

A volunteer peer counseling program that provides low-income women with role models, accurate information, support, and encouragement can increase the duration of breastfeeding, and thus contribute to healthier infants.
