Abstract

A nonsignificant trend to increased plasma levels of asymmetric dimethylarginine in patients with high plasma total homocysteine levels may be explained by concomitant subtle renal dysfunction. Substantial reduction of plasma total homocysteine did not affect the level of plasma asymmetric dimethylarginine.
