Diode pumped caesium laser

Abstract

A continuous-wave caesium vapour laser with diode laser pumping is demonstrated. An output power of more than 130 mW was achieved using a 400 mW pump giving an overall optical efficiency better than 32%. It is expected to increase the laser efficiency with improvement to the experimental setup.
