Synthesis and Crystal Structure of (μ-Malonanilide-<i>O</i>,<i>O</i>‘)bis[bis(dibenzoylmethanato)dioxouranium(VI)]: A New Coordination Mode of the Malonamide Ligand

Abstract

The first dinuclear uranium(VI) complex (μ-malonanilide-O,O‘)[bis[di(benzoylmethanato)dioxouranium(VI)] has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. UO2((C6H5CO)2CH)2 moieties are bridged by the malonamide ligand. The structure is stabilized by a pair of N−H···O(uranyl) hydrogen bonds, which gives rise to two different U−O bond lengths for the uranyl groups.
