The Synthesis and the Crystal and Molecular Structure of [Tris(dibutyl sulfoxide)bis(<i>O</i>,<i>O</i>′-diisopropyl dithiophosphato)neodymium(III)] [Tetrakis(<i>O</i>,<i>O</i>′-diisopropyl dithiophosphato)neodymium(III)] [Nd{(C3H7O)2PS2}2{(C4H9)2SO}3][Nd{(C3H7O)2PS2}4]

Abstract

Abstract The title complex has been synthesized, and its crystals and molecular structure has been determined by the use of the single-crystal X-ray-diffraction method. The crystal of Nd2C60H138O15P6S15, F. W.=2055.03, was monoclinic, with a space group of An; a=23.696(4), b=23.466(4), c=20.208(4) Å, β=111.22(2) °, Z=4, V=10475(4) Å3, Dm=1.30(3), Dx=1.30 Mg m−3, and μ(Mo Kα)=1.41 mm−1. The complex consists of cationic and anionic species, as is shown in the title. The metal atom of the cationic complex is hepta-coordinated and is in a pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry, while the anionic one is octa-coordinated and is in a dodecahedral geometry.
