Abstract

Studies in the sheep and dog with angiotensin II, radioactive phenylthiocarbamy, and fluorescein-labelled angiotensin II suggest that saturation of the metabolic processes of uptake and destruction at “receptor sites” plays an unimportant role in the development of tachyphylaxis to angiotensin, and that it is independent of plasma angiotensinase activity.
