Reaction matrix theory is applied to the cluster model of Be 8 with the aim of founding it on the realistic nuclear force. The model wave function consists of the s-orbits around two centres corresponding to two a-clusters separated by 2d. For each value of d self-consistent calculations are made for the reaction matrix and the single particle energies and then the generator coordinate method is applied for the relative motion between two a-clusters. Adopted nuclear forces are OPEG and H-J potential. Dependence of the effective interaction on clusterization is shown and discussed.
