(Dicyanamido)bis(1,10-phenanthroline)copper(II) Tricyanomethanide

Abstract

The crystal structure of [Cu(C12H8N2)2{N(CN)2}][C(CN)3] is formed by discrete [Cu(phen)2{N(CN)2}]+ cations and [C(CN)3]− anions (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline). The coordination polyhedron of CuII is a distorted trigonal bipyramid with a CuN5 chromophore.
