Mycoplasma hominiswas recovered from the blood of a woman 24 hours post partum and at the time a febrile illness was in progress. The patient exhibited a significant antibody response to the specificMycoplasma strainrecovered from the blood as well as to otherM hominisstrains. Additional observations on the role ofM hominisand other species ofMycoplasmamight play in spontaneous abortions, fetal abnormalities, and postpartum complications are now needed.
