Canonical functional integrals in general coordinates

Abstract

Abstract A consistent derivation of a canonical (Hamiltonian) functional integral representation of the quantum mechanical propagator is presented with particular emphasis placed on the question of ordering. The calculation of the effective potential is much simpler than in the corresponding Lagrangian theory.
