Some of the many items in the collection must have been copied from notes written in his old age by Oe Masafusa k1zrKf, 1041-1111, whose self-indulgence, disregard for propriety, and penchant for collecting unreliable stories provoked the indignation of a conservative contemporary, the diarist Fujiwara Munetada ,
